  • Coasteering and Bouldering in Northern Ireland

This is an extreme sport as ever.  Coasteering is about exploring the coast up close and comfortable – the roots of this sport are from the Victorian age when the Victorians searched for eggs from seabirds.  Coasteering involves doing whatever is required to explore every single inch of coastline.  Bouldering is the equivalent to coasteering although it involves exploring a river or riverbed.  Both activities are great for team building exercises, however safety must be paramount in everyone’s mind.  It is recommended that these activities are undertaken only with the assistance of an experienced guide.

Bloody Bridge near Newcastle Co. Down (what a name given the extreme nature of this sport) is an excellent location for coasteering and bouldering in Northern Ireland as the river gushes from Slieve Donard to the sea.

Another great location for these sports is just around the corner from the Giants Causeway in Dunsevrick.  This is a great place for beginners and experienced folk alike however for safety reasons it is recommended that a guide be used here.
